A key component of Conquering Concussions is direct relationships with Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) for local teams, clubs and schools, including collaborations for baseline testing programs, ongoing educational programs, direct contact with them through mobile applications on their cell phones and 24/7 responsiveness.
Conquering Concussions is collaborating with The CACTIS Foundation, Tucson Medical Center (TMC), and the Tucson Concussion Center. These organizations have begun demonstrating the “Concussion Discussion” program to help educate the community about concussions and baseline testing to over 5,000 attendees at the Ft. Lowell Shootout andTMC Be Safe Saturday.
Additionally, the TMC Foundation has provided generous grant support to perform preseason baseline testing of ~500 youth soccer players at several local clubs and academies.
CACTIS also is collaborating with University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix at the last two Cox Connect2STEM events in Phoenix, Arizona.
